But one thing to think about in those 90% of ignored... That's men on dating apps. Men willing to approach women in real life, have MUCH better odds.

Even a passive move like going up to a woman and handing her a phone number is rare. People (women included) like to be flattered and while handing someone a number is weaker than building report and saying, "This has been a fun conversation, I'd love to see you again, hit me with your number and I'll text you mine..."

It's still braver than MOST men.

So really, who knows. Maybe it's worth trying. But... yeah my guess is, any passive strategy, for most men, is a losing strategy. (Given, people asked the author if she actually called the guy back and... crickets. Like, it didn't even work for OP.)

My bigger point is... 1 success going bold and you build a repetitive behavior. Because success is so huge.

A good relationship is like winning a million dollar lottery. YOU FEEL AWESOME. If you hit on a woman and she gives you her number then you go on a good date and weeks later you're in bliss. Like... no Medium article is going to reason out that emotional/chemical rush.
