Good tips here. You're always saying I should write essays from the male experience, but I never have ideas like this, nor would I be able to format them so well.

But thinking 1 of the issues in myself, I totally judge people for being try hards.

On the face of it, it seems insane. Don't you want people to be trying their best? But when we say, "Too much" or "Try Hard" I think it comes because we see it as inauthentic. It feels like the person is trying to impress, fit in, and they aren't being sincere.

We are drawn to bold people who are unapologetic in their power.

We are repulsed by people who seem fake.

Which makes this internalized misogyny so insidious. If you think women suck, but you yell "Go girl" mantras, people will see through it.

Does faking it till you make it work here?

There's probably inner work needed to unravel harmful stereotypes we pick up through osmosis/systems/society/indoctrination.
