I read your headline and just want to say...

I hated living in New Orleans.

Parades are cool, but the local population were systemically uneducated, the tourists were drunk, on drugs or booth, the governmental corruption was 100x worse than chicago for people just trying to live there and I'm not surprised you found it to be sexist.

I've only written one story that touches on my time there...

But your story makes me want to write more! It was so vibrant and full of quirky characters... a horrible place to live... but probably a great place for litterature.
