I wrote about this recently.

It amazes me how few of my friends have kids. No one I dated has kids now. It feels statistically impossible.

My significant other thought she'd meet a guy who demanded kids and she wouldn't have a choice. Being with me, who didn't care was a relief. She's so sure.

But I have doubts. Only, I wouldn't trade my writing for kids. You wouldn't either because you could. Having kids is not as easy as inevitable, but it's definitely a choice.
