This series was awesome. And it makes me want to be a better Medium writer.

The big takeaway for me is resilience and acceptance.

I really want to be braced more then ever for the lack of control I'll have as more success comes. I am not the guy who can stick up to mister smiley.

But I can be the guy who gives up on wanting the creative freedom blog posts allow. If I'm working with huge teams of people, backed by money that isn't mine... I'm just going to choose not to care.

There are some directors/producers/writers who hold on and get their vision accurately portrayed.

Outside of my writing directly to an audience, that'll never be me.

And that's going to have to be okay.

You've prepared my soul well with this.
