Thanks so much for this thoughtful response and appropriate push back.

In the battle of Clever vs Clear... a lot of writing guru's will tell you Clever never wins, but we have so many personal anecdotes where does! Or at least it seems to.

In this case, I think one of the things you rightly pointed out, was I didn't even try to come up with a better title. This essay would have been stronger if I'd put one up for debate.

I didn't due to a lack of skill, and tried to sidestep the issue by pointing out, every choice we make has pros and cons. And those cons can be circumvented in other ways.

If one is the kind of writer who loves abstract titles that grow with meaning after the book is finished, what are you going to do to drive traffic to your work? You pointed out, it's much harder to do that through Medium, but it isn't impossible.

I wrote one story about how I use comments to drive traffic to my stories, but maybe I'll write more about what I do... though I've never gone viral, I feel like I've never seen a list of ideas, I like.

On another note! Because I'm a man splaining maniac...

I want you to fill out your about section. And I want your short bio to encourage me to read your articles.

Thanks again for this conversation. It was edifying.

Oh! And if you read the book, you have to show up to our book Club. @storyluck on twitch.

(It only costs money if you want us to send you the 3 books.)
