"vitriolic hatred Amber received"

You don't think Weinstein is more hated and loathed than Heard?

For those who don't believe Heard her sin is two fold... she cried abuse when she was the abuser. She faked abuse through make up and lies.

People hate manipulators way more then they hate people who tell you to your face, "I'm a scumbag and I will screw you over."

That's a big selling point for T.

He doesn't believably sell, "I care about women." He sells he's a mysoginist.

Similarly you see that coping mechanism in a lot of red pill areas.

Another one to look at is Rihanna's boyfriend. He has a legion of haters who follow any comment section where anyone says anything nice about him, and they plaster it with testimony from his trial and comments about what a monster he is.

We live in a rape culture but part of that rape culture is men and women lying about their abuse.

We as bystanders will rarely know. We all have to make judgements on credibility.

I love that you said, "Me too unless I don't like you"

Similarly it's generally Me Too unless I like the abuser. And I'll say this, for me, that's something a weigh and something I specifically look for in these public accusations and defenses. I look to see, "Do they have friends who stick by them?"

But I also know from the localized issues in my life. People stick with the abuser... for many reasons. It is hard to shun someone... And in terms of rape culture it's hard to give comfort to those abused because, you have to accept a couple tough things about life we don't enjoy accepting.

1. I don't know my friends.

2. I can't protect my friends.

3. People I thought were strong are victims.

This causes us a lot of dissonance. And many people dissociate and behave in unexpected ways. This is a big part of this toxic culture we are confronted with.

Great article. Thanks for getting me thinking.
