With dating norms, how much do they change from State to State? Or is more Large City vs Suburbs vs Rural?

Dating norms in middle eastern countries are waaaaay different than here. I forget which book it was in but Dan Arley had thing about how different countries have different times people get divorced and you could map what divorce laws were like.

But you could find cultural studies and thought pieces that said, "We looked at the data and people get sick of their wives at year 2" or year 7 depending on what country they were in.

But probably the answer was in restrictive laws that said you either had 2 years to get divorced or 7.
